This article explains how to create a News feed. You can create your own feed, or let our team do it.
News Alerts are automatic alerts in your inbox when relevant articles are published. You share your interests by following a News feed. You can create these feeds yourself, or aks us to create one.
Creating your own feed
There are two ways to create your own feed:
Saving an advanced search query
Editing an existing template
Saving an advanced search query
By saving an advanced search query, you automatically receive alerts in your inbox when new articles are published within your search query. This article explains how to create an advanced search query. To save your search query as News feed, click on 'Save' on the left beneath the search bar. You can create a new feed, or overwrite an existing one.
Editing an existing template
A News template is a combination of (advanced) search queries. You can for example exclude keywords, match an entire sentence or search for multiple synonyms of a keyword.
Start by clicking on the newspaper icon on the righthand side of the Bundle by author slider.
To select some guidelines for starting your feed, you can start with a template. This is a feed that was created by our team, you, or a colleague. Choose one of the feeds on the left to start.
You can see the search query of the feed in the search bar on top of the middle column once you have selected a feed. You can change the query or applied filters as you wish. By clicking on 'Save', you can save your edited feed. You can either create a new feed, or overwrite an existing feed.
Requesting a feed
You can also choose to let our team create a feed for you. You can do this via 'Request a news feed'. You will be asked to answer some questions, after which our team will get started with your feed. Try to answer the questions with as much detail as you can, so that we can create a feed that matches your interests best.
Managing your feeds
To manage existing feeds, first click on the newspaper icon and then on the gearwheel in the left column.
The News feed manager allows you to select how often you wish the receive alerts and if you want to share feeds with colleagues. You can also edit the name of a feed here.
