GIF-image in your press release?

How do you add a GIF-image to your campaign? What to do when it doesn't move? Why is it not moving?

When hovering over a textblock with your mouse, a plus button will appear left of it. Click on it and a toolbar will appear with which you can add text blocks, (sub)titles, images, and attachments. To insert a (GIF) image in the text, click on Image, followed by Pick image from disk. Search for the right GIF file on your computer and click on open. The GIF image will appear in your press release. Make sure the the original size of the GIF is not wider than 500 pixels. Be aware that if the GIF is wider than 500 pixels, the moving element of the image will be lost. The GIF doesn't work in that case.

Help! The GIF image is not moving!

GIF images often have a moving element. In Smart.pr, this movement only works in case the image doesn't have to be scaled. Therefore, please do not adjust the size of the GIF image in the editor (by dragging the black bar on the right side) after uploading it.

If the image is too large to be placed in a campaign, it will automatically be resized. However, the movement of the image will then be lost. It is important that the original GIF image that is uploaded does not exceed a width of 500 pixels when using one of the standard Smart.pr templates.

Make sure the image doesn't exceed the maximum width of 500 pixels! There are websites that allow you to easily customize the size of GIF images. One of those is EZGIF for example. Upload your GIF image to this site and set the width (New width) to 500 pixels, and leave the "New height" field empty to maintain the original proportion of the image. Click on "Resize it". The new GIF will appear underneath the original. Click on "save" to save the GIF image to your computer. As long as you make sure that the GIF file is not wider than the maximum of 500 pixels, the moving element will continue to work.
