Do you want to know how to add a name tag in the Classic Editor? Read this article.
By adding a name tag to your press release, you can send out more personalised messages. When sending out your press release, the system automatically fills in the name of the recipient in the place specified. If the name of the recipient is missing, or if the (editorial) email adresses are to general general, then a 'fallback' email adress is automatically filled in.
Step 1
Add the name tag in the desired place in a text field.
Step 2
Set the fallback
Attention! Don't save the name tag in a template. When doing so, the tag will transform into flat text, meaning it won't work in future mailings. Instead, add the name tag per mailing.
Note: For a test email, the recipient's name will not be displayed when the name tag option is used. Your test email will be sent to the email address that you entered manually and not - as with a regular mailing - to a recipient from the address book whose name is known in the system. The salutation of your press release will, of course, be displayed correctly during the final mailing.
